Based at our Atlantic City Data Center, the Site Manager is responsible for maintaining and improving the overall health and availability of the mechanical and electrical resources and dealing with all aspects of maintaining facilities contracts at the site. The role also includes the management and recruitment of technical resources alongside maintaining and managing co-location supply arrangements for Company throughout the United States. The Site / Data Center Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of data center and building operations including facility infrastructure testing, preventive maintenance, service delivery, quality assurance, adherence to corporate standards/processes, oversight of all internal/customer hardware assets within the data center, and continuous operational improvement. This role serves as the data center subject matter expert for the region and supports knowledge and education for both customers and internal team members. The Primary Duties of a Site Manager are to: • Manage the business of site facilities on an ongoing basis. • Working with the global facilities team to achieve 99.999% uptime with respect to the building, mechanical and electrical infrastructure. • Manages data center utility / construction / update projects through to completion. • Responsible for negotiations around building lease, environmental impact. • Overall responsibility for site operation, cleanliness, presentability and management. • Create and maintain documentation on technologies supported • Project manages overall schedule and build project plans, ensuring effective progress. • Oversees and monitors project progress against plans, investigates variations against schedule and looks for corrective actions. • Manages third party suppliers, ensuring delivery against schedule and S.L.A. • Organise Health & Safety and Security for the Data Center. • Correlation and creation of processes and documentation to stimulate good work practice. • Availability at all times to mange site performance issues via the escalation procedure and the Major Incident Procedures Technical Skills required • Qualified to a level of B.Eng. in electrical engineering or the equivalent in senior electrical trades with experience. • Qualified in facilities management practices. • Familiar with processes required to obtain and retain compliance certifications e.g. ISO27001/ SOC2 type 2 • Experienced in BMS and the installation of BMS systems along with HVAC controls. • Experienced in staff management practices and team building. • Experienced in the technical design and fit out of Data Centre infrastructure utilising energy efficient systems such as free cooling and high efficiency UPS. • A solid understanding of how work is planned using the change management process. • Problem solving and root cause identification skills including experience with CAPA/ COE reporting • Strong analytic and decision-making abilities. • A background knowledge of the US Data Center market. • Knowledge of data center ecosystem (cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling). • Previous experience working in a Data Center environment (racking & stacking gear, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment). • Networking Protocols (OSI Model) • Copper/Fibre Optic Testing/Cabling Standards • Project management, organization and problem-solving skills with a drive for results. • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
