Strong SEC reporting, operations, and financial planning and analysis experience required. Telecom industry experience a big plus. Responsible for all accounting and financial reporting functions for Towerstream Corporation and its subsidiaries, preparation of budgets and forecasts, cost controls, financial analysis, accounting policies and procedures. Must be able to understand the Company's business activity, be able to interpret and articulate the causes of the changes appearing in the financial statements. Must be able to simplify, streamline, automate, and accelerate the financial reporting process. •Ensure that all financial accounting and reporting requirements are satisfied and that adequate financial accounting policies and internal controls exist. •Oversee all SEC, external and internal financial reporting. Perform detailed reviews of the corporate ledgers and ensure compliance of the companies financial reporting with US GAAP and SEC requirements. •Coordinate of all external auditor related activities of the company, including timing, planning, scheduling coordinating and resolving issues related to the year-end audit, quarterly reviews, statutory financial statements of subsidiaries, and other complex accounting matters. •Continuously monitor SEC, FASB and accounting rules and regulations to ensure the company stays current and in compliance with all financial reporting rules and regulations. •Monitor and maintain compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements. •Provide guidance and support to management on acquisitions, dispositions, restructuring, capital leases, etc. Document significant issues (e.g., fair value of assets, restructuring, etc.). •Assist in the due diligence of acquisitions as necessary. Ensure acquired companies are integrated into Towerstream’s financial reporting structure on a timely basis and are applying appropriate accounting policies. •Support the CFO by coordinating, performing or participating in special projects as necessary (e.g., project analysis, projections, pro-forma’s, etc.). •Coordinate, review or prepare all required SEC and other documents for debt and equity offerings. •Review or prepare financial statement tax calculations and disclosures. Ensure all tax activities are appropriately recorded in the financial statements. •Oversee and review debt compliance calculations.
